Gender roles in Islam

In Islam women are suppose to be home makers and caregivers. Thier role is to take care of the kids , take care of the home, and cook food. The wives are to look after thier homes. The men are supposed to support thier wives and do the labor. They are to bring home the money or food for the wife to cook. In Islam the men and women each have a role for thier family. I understand that that is the way that it has been for thier culture for a long time, and that is what they are used to. I on the other hand don't like how each person has a certain role in the family. That defeats any purpose of being or doing something different. I think any man, woman, or child should be able to do what they want and not have a certain role. If they like the ways they are doing things that is fine, buy i don't think it is fair to the others that don't like doing the same thing all the time. Dont be afraid to change things. this was a very good article.

Lunar New Year a time to reconnect with Asian homeland

A girl who was adopted at a very young age is trying to reconnect with her culture. I think it is very cool of her to do such a thing. She is showing alot of faith and alot of respect for her culture by doing her cultural things without livng where it is majority ruled. Her decorating her room and wearing certain clothes for such a special occasion is very brave of her, it is showing that she doesn't care about what others think . She is going to do whatever she feels is culturally right. I think it is very cool of her adoptive parents to her too. Most people would probably try to get her to be more like thier culture, but they are just letting her choose what she wants to do which is stick with her heritage. I think this is a very good article and it shows that no matter where you are or what you are doing you should just be you at all times. I reccomend this article to anyone and everyone.

overcoming challenges and struggles in life

I read an article about a butterfly needing to overcome struggles. The butterfly is suppose to struggle to get out of the cacoon , so it can develop wing strength. The butterfly was helped by a kid then died later. I think this is a really cool article because it applies to people and not only butterflies. We need to endure struggles throughlife to become stronger, we might not die , but if we struggle we come back stronger. I think alot of people grow up not struggling and having everything given to the and not having to struggle for certain things. I think that ends up hurting them in the long run someone who has dealt with more struggles tends to be more experienced and a tougher person. I think this article was really cool and thoughtful . I would reccomend this article to anyone.

Nine killed in Oklahoma tornado

In a Oklahoma tornado nine people were killed and forty six were injured. Three people were trapped in a house overnight and then later rescued. About 40 people were unaccounted for a day later. A man was found in the middle of the field was believed to be picked up and dropped in the middle of the field. I feel this like this is a sad and tragic story. I am sorry to all the familes that lost one. Life can come at you unexpetedly sometimes and you just got to keep chuggin.

Steroids

Mark McGwire's brother Jay McGwire told reporters that Mark used steroids. Jay is writing a book about the steroid use titled the McGwire family secret. Jay a body builder said Mark started using them in ninteen ninty four, and he injected Mark with Deca-Durabolin. Mark believes if anyone will forgive it is Mark, he said mark did it to survive. Jay says he is telling out of love for mark. He stated that he wanted Mark to live in truth, to the see the light, to come to repentence, live in freedom, which is the only way to live. Mark repeatedly denied using them however when he testified under oath before congress he wouldn't discuss whether he did or not. Mark said who knows what would have happened if i wouldn't of intoduced him to steroids. He might have had a different carreer. Even though something might be bad at first you should do what is right in the long run because you have to deal with it all the time.

Setting homeless man on fire

A barber was arrested on thursday for setting a homeless man on fire near his work. The barber was identified as a thirty year old man named Benjamin Martin. Martin was aressted about one hundred and twenty miles East of Los Angeles. The man was fifty five years old and his name was John McGraham. Witnesses told police they saw a man chase McGraham then throw liquid on and run. McGraham was burnt on over ninty percent of his body and died at a nearby hospital. The people who gave McGraham food and spare change said he was a quiet, harmless man who liked to drink dr. pepper and listen to a small portable radio. Officals said that Martin held a grudge against the homeless. Martin was convicted of a drug offense that linked him to the killing. Dont do drugs because they can make you do things you dont want to do and they can ruin the rest of you life.

Belgium day care stabbings

An unknown man walked into a Belgium day care center on friday and went on stabbing spree. The man killed two young children, a female worker, and sent ten others to the hospital. The man was arrested at a nearby supermarket, shortly after causing alot of pancing. The attack took place at ten a.m., at a town of about twenty miles North West of Brussles. The two childen that were killed were thought to be 3 years old or younger. The man was injured while being arrested by the police, and was brought to a nearby hospital. The parents of the injured children were brought to the hospital and asked to tell which child is thiers. There was a nearby community center that was used to give counseling to the victimes and those that saw the stabbings. They are going to investigate the security at the center but, they said as soon as the man was let in he stabbed anyone in his vicinity. Life Is dangerous make sure you are aware of your surroundings, and you can never be to safe.
