book blog

I am reading a book called The Notebook by Nicholas sparks. It is a good book so far about spontaneous teenagers. It is also a book filled with alot of love and romance. It is about two teenagers who met at a carnival. They ended up going on a date and have been in love with each other ever since. The girl has wealthy , city life backround and the boy on the other hand has a low class country backround. They come from opposite lifestyles and argue alot but they are both madly in love with each other. The boy's dad seems to like the girl, but the girl's parents don't seem to like him as much. It seems as the girl's parents don't like the boy that much because he doesn't make alot of money. The kids dont even think about the future that much they just kind of live for the moment. They are deeply in love right now and don't really care about anything else. This is a really good book so far.

Hi, there! My name is Matt, and I'm a student at the U of MN - your teacher might have told you guys that U of MN students would be reading and commenting on your blogs. So here I am.

Is this the text that led to the movie? I only remember bits and pieces of the movie, but it sounds pretty similar to what you said.

It sounds like there's a lot of classism here - poor people not getting the same respect that rich people do. You've got me interested in the story, and now I'd like to know how the book turns out. Sounds like a tragic romance story, like Romeo and Juliet, just hopefully with less suicide.
